How to add images to store locations in LocateStore?

You can enhance your store locator by adding images to each location. This helps customers quickly recognize stores and improves the overall appearance of your locator.

Open Store Locator Sheet

To begin, log in to your LocateStore dashboard and go to Stores. Open your store locator sheet.

Insert an Image

Make sure your Google Sheet has columns for adding images. It will be listed as "Image 1, Image 2" and so on. If not, you can add those columns manually.

Find the image cell for the store you want to update. Click inside the cell, then go to Insert > Image > Insert image in cell.

Google Sheets will then give you several options for adding an image.

Upload

The upload option allows you to select an image file directly from your computer. This is useful when you already have prepared store images saved locally.

Webcam

The webcam option lets you capture a new image using your device’s camera. This is helpful when you want to take a photo on the spot and immediately use it for the store listing.

Link

With the link option, you can insert an image by pasting a direct image URL. This is useful when your images are already hosted online and you want to reuse them without downloading or uploading again.

Photos

This option allows you to select images stored in your Google Photos account. It is convenient if your store images are already backed up or organized there.

Google Drive

You can also choose images directly from Google Drive. This works well if your team stores all brand or location images in shared Drive folders.

Google Images

The Google Images option lets you search the web for an image directly inside Google Sheets. You can then select an image and insert it into the cell.

Enable the image column in LocateStore

After adding images in Google Sheets, you must also ensure that the image columns in your Google Sheet are mapped properly.

Go to Settings > Columns, and under the Images section, select the correct image columns from the dropdown menu. This ensures LocateStore recognizes which column contains your store images.

View your store locator

Once everything is set up, the images will appear in your store locator.

Note

If images do not appear in your locator:

• Confirm the correct image columns are mapped in Settings > Columns.

• Make sure the image was inserted into the correct store row.

• Refresh the locator page after saving changes.

• Check whether the image is accessible and not restricted by Google permissions.
