How to use the Radius Map

  1. 1

Search for the address, city, or landmark that should sit at the centre of your radius.

  2. 2

Select the Radius tool, then click that point on the map to draw the circle around it.

  3. 3

Add more circles to compare catchment areas, and recolour each one so they stay readable.

  4. 4

Label what each radius represents, then export the finished radius map as a PNG.

How to draw a radius on Google Maps

Google Maps has no radius tool. You can measure the distance between two points (right-click a spot and choose "Measure distance"), but you can't draw a circle. Google My Maps can't draw circles either.

To get a radius map, search your address above, choose Radius and click the centre. Type the distance in miles or km, add more circles for other distances, then export the map as a PNG. The map shows the same streets and places as Google Maps, from OpenStreetMap.

Several circles, in miles or km

Draw as many circles as you need: one per store, or 5, 10 and 20 miles around the same address. Each circle gets its own colour, and switching between miles and kilometres converts every circle on the map.

How do I draw a radius on a map?

Search for your centre point, choose the Radius tool, then click the map where the centre should sit. The circle is drawn instantly, and you can add as many circles as you need.

Is this radius map tool free?

Yes. The radius map tool runs in your browser with no account, no credit card, and no Google Maps API key. Exporting the map as a PNG is free too.

Can I draw more than one radius on the same map?

Yes. Draw as many radius circles as you like, give each one its own colour, and add text labels so it is clear which area is which.

Can I use this as a map radius calculator?

Yes. Each circle is drawn to a real-world distance, so you can see exactly which streets, suburbs, and landmarks fall inside the radius.

Can I show a delivery radius on my own website?

Export the map as an image for a static version, or build it with LocateStore to embed a live, searchable radius map that updates from a Google Sheet.
