Your current location

The map first shows roughly where you are, worked out from your internet connection. It is usually right to the city, but can be further off on a VPN or mobile data.

For your exact current location, allow location access. Your phone or computer then uses GPS or nearby Wi-Fi, and the tool shows your street address, zip code and coordinates.

How accurate is this?

Phones with GPS are usually accurate to a few metres. Laptops and desktops guess from Wi-Fi or internet connection, so they can be further off. The first, approximate result only uses your internet connection.

Why does it ask for permission?

Your browser only shares your exact location if you allow it. Without it you still see an approximate location.

Can I share my location?

Yes, use the share button to send a link or copy the address.
