US county map by state

The US has more than 3,100 counties and county equivalents. Louisiana calls them parishes, Alaska has boroughs and census areas, and Virginia has independent cities that sit outside any county. Pick a state to zoom in on its counties, with each name written in.

Boundaries come from the US Census Bureau. To find the county of an address, use What County Am I In.

How do I find which county an address is in?

Type the address into "Add a pin" and the pin lands in its county, or use What County Am I In for a direct answer.

What is a FIPS code?

A five-digit number the US government gives each county: the first two digits are the state, the last three the county. Cook County, Illinois is 17031.

Can I print a county map of my state?

Yes. Pick the state, choose A4 or Letter, and download the PDF.
